Yesterday was one busy day for all the ACM SZABIST members. One day, two events seemed impossible to manage but we made it possible. Code-fest displayed amazing projects by the 6th semester students. Everyone was surprised to see the tremendous talent and creativity under one roof.  The ideas were unique and implementation was just great. It was appreciated by many of the faculty members and the visitors as well. It was attended by over 100 teachers and students from various programs and departments. This not only created awareness of the power of coding but also motivated many to create something like these.

After this event was a very informative seminar on Information security in corporate world by Raheem Kazani. It was attended by over 35 students. It was about the need for creating awareness regarding information security and what we can do about it. Mr. Raheem Kazani explained various areas where computing science students can go to. For instance, in the domain of information security, computer science students can serve to solve crimes by going into forensics. Ethical hacking is another area that interested many of the participants. IS auditing is also one of the very interesting and there is a lot of demand for IS Auditors.

This is the time to not only celebrate the success but also prepare for our exams. We will be coming back soon with a new team but same believes and aim, that is to promote computing science and help others. Coming up are elections and selections for the new body. So stay tuned to know more about it.
